First Performance in Japan of a Latvian Piano

In conjunction with the first visit to Japan by Latvian piano builder David Klavins—renowned for his pursuit of the ideal piano sound from the musical nation of Latvia—his masterpiece was unveiled for the first time in Japan at the opening ceremony of the Fuji Festival. The sound of the “Una Corda” piano resonated beautifully throughout the venue.
