As part of the “Humanities Inquiry α” class for second-year students at Fuji Municipal High School, students held online interviews with Olympic and Paralympic athletes who had conducted pre-Games training camps in Fuji City.
On September 13, they spoke with Latvian Paralympian Diana—silver medalist in discus and bronze medalist in javelin—and her coach, Zane. On September 27, they interviewed Swiss Olympian Jeremy—bronze medalist in the 200m individual medley swimming event—and his coach, Marques.
The students listened intently as the athletes and coaches shared their impressions of Japan, memorable experiences, reasons for starting their sport, and the challenges they had faced. The conversations left a deep impression on the students.
