Official Fuji City Delegation Visit to Kuldīga

The two cities exchanged introductions of their municipal overview booklets and held discussions on exchange activities. In connection with the UNESCO World Heritage registration of Kuldīga’s old town, they explored collaboration using Shizuoka Prefecture’s digital technology, VIRTUAL SHIZUOKA. As part of a smart city technology project, they also exchanged information on biomass refining research at Fuji City’s wastewater treatment facility (Eastern Purification Center). In addition, Fuji City proposed cultural exchange related to Shizuoka’s historic tea.
